TYCOL LT Acrylic retanning agent for the Leather Industry PRODUCT PARTICULARLY RECOMMENDED FOR RETANNAGE OF ALL TYPES OF CHROME TANNED LEATHERS. Chemical Composition Blend of acrylic polymer with anionic surfactant in aqueous medium Characteristics aspect : cream coloured viscous liquid active matter : 40 ± 1% pH of 10% sol : 2.8 ± 0.3 solubility : readily missible with water Properties Tycol LT selectively binds with looser portion of the leather & gives tightness to the grain. Tycol LT gives good lightfastness. Tycol LT gives flatness & fineness to the leather. Tycol LT has an ability to plump the leather in chrome tannage & gives slight bleaching effect to the leather. Tycol LT gives maximum results in acidic medium. Uses For retanning of upper leather recommended dosages is 4-5 % Tycol LT on shaved weight. For retanning of cow drum dyed leather recommended dosages is 2-3 % Tycol LT on shaved weight. Best results can be obtained when Tycol LT is used before neutralisation.
