TANNED LEATHERS Chemical Composition Phenol-sulphonic acid condensates complex with chrome Characteristics aspect : greenish free flowing powder active matter : 95% min pH of 10% sol : 3.0 ± 0.2 chromic oxide : 12% solubility : readily soluble in water Properties Tysyntan THN being combination of Chrome salts and Phenol Sulfonic acid Condensate thus it maintains the Chrome character of the Leather as well as it gives fullness and Softness to the Leather. Tysyntan THN gives dye levelling effect due to its anionic character. Tysyntan THN can be used for retanning Semi Chrome Leather with extremely Soft handle and doesn't load the grain unduly at all. Tysyntan THN contains high amounts of masking chromium compounds and when used as a pretanning agent, rapid penetration of the pelt and thereafter a substantial acceleration of subsequent vegetable tanning agents is effected. Tysyntan THN exhausts completely from the rechroming bath at elevated temperature. Uses For rechroming of cow upper leather recommended dosages is 4-5% Tysyntan THN on shaved weight. Rechroming of clothing Nappa from cow leather requires 5-6 % Tysyntan THN For retanning of E.I.tanned leather recommended dosage is 10 % Tysyntan THN For pretanning of Vegetable tanned calf leather recommended dosages is 4% Tysyntan THN
