TYSYNTAN TFS Dye leveling agent for the Leather Industry PRODUCT PARTICULARLY RECOMMENDED FOR DYE LEVELING DISPERSING & DYE PENETRATION OF CHROME TANNED LEATHERS Chemical Composition Salts of napthalene sulphonic acid condensation product. Characteristics aspect : light brown coloured powder active matter : 95% min pH of 10% sol : 6.5 ± 0.5 solubility : readily soluble in water Properties Tysyntan TFS reduces the affinity of anionic dyes for chrome tanned leather; resulting in retardation of dyeing & thereby gives good leveling effect. Tysyntan TFS gives brilliant shade to the leather. Tysyntan TFS forms precipitate with basic dyes- it is therefore suitable fixing agent for these dyes on mineral tanned leathers. Tysyntan TFS can be used as dispersing agent for Vegetable tannages. Uses 1-2% Tysyntan TFS requires for level dyeing & deep penetration of dye on chrome tanned leather.. 1% Tysyntan TFS on shaved weight will suffice for the fixation of basic dyes.
