Dispersing Agent

TYCOL - NCI

TYCOL - NCI is a very effective dispersing agent in dispersed & vat dyeing ( acid - leuco ). It has plenty of other application in dyeing & printing of synthetic fibre cellulosic & proteinous fibres & also their blends.

* Chemical Nature : Anionic.
* Chemical Composition : Based on naphthalene sulphonate.
* Physical Appearance : Beige colour powder.
* Chemical Compatibility : Compatible with anionic & non-ionic products. Stable under acid & alkaline condition & unaffected @ high temperature.
* 10% soln. pH : 7.0 - 9.0
(D.I. Water = 7.0 used)
* % Loss on Drying : 8.0 max
( @ 105 °C for 3 hrs.)
* Solubility : readily soluble in water.

Properties :
* Tycol - NCI is extremely low foaming & thus suited for use in flooded jets & overflow machines.
* Tycol - NCI prevents precipitation of dye from leuco vat liquors as well as promote levelling & retarding action during the process of dyeing.
* Tycol - NCI is an efficient dispersing agent to use when dyeing polyster or polyster / cotton goods in batch wise condition.
* Tycol - NCI retards colour build-up on wool while dyeing, wool / nylon blends with acid or vat dyes.
* Tycol - NCI reduces staining effect on cellulose & wool while dyeing their polyester blends with dispersed dyes.

Applications :
* Tycol - NCI is used as a dispersing agent at a liquor ratios of 10 : 1. The recommended amount is 05 - 2.0 gms/lt . The same concentration may be employed whenever dyeing blend of polyester / cellulosic &/or polyester / wool with dispersed dyes. It also prevent /reduce cross staining of cellulosic or wool with dispersed dyes..
* Tycol - NCI is recommended to use upto 1.5 - 5 gms/lt in leuco - vat liquors to prevent dye precipitation & ensure level dyeing . Hence it gives reserve effects on wool while dyeing wool/nylon blend with acid or solubilised vat dyes.
* Tycol - NCI is recommended to use upto 8 - 16 gms/lt while dyeing cellulosics with vat dye stuffs
(by acid-leuco technique). It helps to prevent precipitation of dye stuff at acid-leuco stage, however this technique is limited to pale shades because of low dispersibility of vat dye stuff in acid-leuco form.
* Tycol - NCI is recommended to use upto 2.0 - 3.0 % while printing for the colouration of protein fibres with vat dyes by acid-leuco techniques. This is also used at the time of final print paste added to alkaline leuco vat before converting it into the acid-leuco vat compound.

Storage : Stable under normal conditions.
