Dye Fixing Agent

TYXANOL

TYXANOL is a dye fixing agent used to improve the wet fastness properties of direct & reactive dyed /
printed cellulosic goods.

* Chemical Nature : Cationic.
* Chemical Composition : Based on dicyanamdiamide (DCDA).
* Physical Appearance : colourless clear to slight cloudy liquid.
* Chemical Compatibility : good with cationic & non-ionic product. Should not be used with anionic product.
* pH (as such) : 3.0 - 4.0
* % Solid content : 46.0 - 50.0
( @ 120°C for 2 hrs.)
* Solubility : readily soluble in cold water.

Properties :
* Tyxanol improves colour fastness to perspiration.
* Tyxanol prevents bleeding & staining of dye from the dyed or printed fabrics with direct dyes.
* Tyxanol affects light fastness of direct & reactive dyes if applied in excessive concentration ( as in case with all cationic products)
* Tyxanol should not be used on pale shade of reactive dyes where it is unnecessary anyway & may reduce light fastness of some dyes.

Applications :
* Tyxanol should be always used as an after treatment & to never be added directly to the dye bath.
* For pale shade (direct dyes only) dosages of Tyxanol is from 0.5 - 1.5 % by exhaustion after 20' at 50 °C & 15 - 30 gm/lt by padding @ 50 - 60 °C.
* For medium & Deep shades the dosage of Tyxanol is 1.5 - 3.0 % by exhaution for 20' @ 50 °C & 15 30 by padding @ 50 - 60 °C.

Storage : Stable under normal conditions.
